There once was a young girl who dreamed of being a princess. She felt like a princess when she put on a pretty, swirling dress and fancy shoes.
Princesses often think of others and are kind” Grandpa said.
“Yes,” she said excitedly, “even when they are wearing pants!”
“Princess pants,” Grandpa said as he smiled and gave her a great big hug.
About the Author
Heidi acquired a love of reading in elementary school, eagerly anticipating the bookmobile’s visits to her childhood home in windswept rural Nevada. She welcomed the challenge of her classes in English and literature. As a parent, some of her fondest memories are the time set aside each and every day for storytime with her son. Today, she carries on the tradition with her young granddaughter.
Heidi and her husband, Jon, live in northern Nevada, where they enjoy the high desert and beautiful Sierra Nevada landscapes.
